Welcome to Spiritual Traditions your online guide to the world of religion and spirituality. The site is currently undergoing some changes. After a number of months of no updates, many new articles will soon be uploaded. Also two new sections will soon be added to the site: a section for conspiracy theories and a section for skeptics. The aim of this site is to allow open discourse between followers of different belief systems and spiritual traditions because it is only through discussing and understanding others' view points that you can truly make an informed decision about your own. Since the God Delusion captured the headlines, a larger public have become aware of a number of other intellectual atheists fighting the same corner as Dawkins. One such man is Sam Harris, whose short 2006 book, Letter to a Christian Nation, is a few times quoted in the above mentioned work. Unlike most books in this genre, Harris’s takes the form of an extended open letter to the United States regarding its increasingly fundamentalist faith in Christianity. |
